Jay Goodrich Obituary
Jay Royce Goodrich, age 70 of Gatesville, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
Jay was born in Andrews, Texas, and was the son of William J. "Bill" and Bette Goodrich. He attended school in Gatesville and after graduating in 1974, went on to attend TSTC in Waco, where he earned his HVAC diploma. He later owned and operated Jay’s Convenience Store on Main Street in Gatesville.
Jay enjoyed the beach, music, concerts, movies and most of all animals, especially his cats. He was a Christian who prayed often and leaned on God for guidance.
Preceding him in death were his parents and older sister, Sally Lawson. Jay leaves a brother, sister and numerous nieces and nephews.
