James "Jay" Alan Ogle, 53, of Collins, passed away Friday, June 2, 2023 in Berlin Township as the result of a motorcycle accident.
He was born on September 29, 1969 in Tampa, Florida.
James graduated from Edison High School in 1988. He was self-employed and was the Owner/Operator of Dig Crew for the last 10 years. He was also a member of the Carpenter Local Union since shortly after graduating high school. Jay Ogle was a good friend to many and a loving and dedicated father. He never knew a stranger and was generous with his time and friendship. He made his home in the local area and was well respected as a carpenter and for his work in cement, excavating, and foundation work. He enjoyed time with friends and family riding his motorcycle. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his daughters, Jordan Ogle, of Sandusky, OH, and Jaimie (Mark) Hoover, of Collins, OH; sons, Austin Ogle, of Collins, OH, and Ryan Ogle, of Carrollton, OH; as well as 6 grandsons; 4 granddaughters; sister, Dee (Jimmy) Moncrief, of Springfield, GA; niece, Autumn Pascetti, and nephew, Richard Chrysler, of Guyton, GA.
James was preceded in death by his father, Charles H. Ogle, Jr., of Kissimmee, FL; and Great Uncle and Aunt, Vern and Joanne Freay, of Huron, OH.
At this time there are no plans for services.
