Jay Popovic Obituary

Jay was a devoted son, a loving brother, and a thoughtful uncle. He is survived by his mother, Martha Popovic of Darnestown, MD, his brother Scott Popovic (Astrid Pallme) of New Port Richey, FL, his sister Ann Malone (Greg) of South Windsor, CT, his sister Tracy Uhlig (Andy) of Mount Airy, MD, and seven nieces and nephews.
He graduated from Quince Orchard High School and the University of Maryland. He was a CPA and worked as a tax accountant for most of his career.
Jay was a man of few words, with a dry wit, and who lived life on his own terms. He was a fan of Washington sports teams and taught his nieces and nephews the proper techniques of good-natured trash talk. He will be greatly missed.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 1st at 1:30pm at Darnestown Presbyterian Church, 15120 Turkey Foot Road, Darnestown, MD. Visitation with family will begin 30 minutes before the service.

I am so very sorry to hear of Jay´s death. Jay was a very close friend of my two sons, Jimmy and Charlie. They met in the 3rd grade, went through school together, and roomed together at the University of MD. Jay was truly his own person and an amazing friend. May Gd be with you in the days to come, Martha.

My dear sweet Martha. I wish I could be with you at this devastating time. Even though I don´t know the right words to say, I want you to know how much I love you and that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
