Jay Weiner, MD
Dr. Jay Weiner, 90, husband of Patricia (Hermann) Weiner, father of Sarah Verneuille, Jason Weiner, and Wendy Weiner, grandfather of six and great-grandfather of two, died on Friday, January 9, 2026. Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 11 A.M. at Congregation B'nai Israel, 193 Clapboard Ridge Rd., Danbury. Burial will follow in Children of Israel Cemetery, Miry Brook Rd., Danbury.

I moved to Danbury in 1979 as a new bride and was fortunate to work with Dr Weiner the other wonderful Doctors of Danbury Internal Medicine.
He had a wonderful sense of humor and was very kind.
My condolences to Mrs Weiner, Children and extended family.

Dr. Weiner was a wonderful healer. He was so very kind to my Mom. She once said," Dr. Weiner treats the body with excellence and restores health but he heals your soul. You leave the office laughing and smiling because no matter what´s wrong, you have the best doc taking care of you!"

Dear Pat and family, I had every intention of being with you this morning but a minor medical problem for Carl needed my attention. Jay played an important role in so many of our lives. He was therefore his family, his patients, friends, and community. Danbury will be forever in his debt.

What?\nDeep sympathy, I will truly miss Dr. Weiner, I worked with him as a nurse for over 25 years on Locust Avenue, he was the kindest caring person anyone would want to meet.. It was a pleasure to work with him . I am so glad we were able to reunite at CHUCKS 2 years ago..with the old office gang....

As a new medical resident, he taught me many lessons I use to this day.
As a brand new transplant to Danbury Connecticut, he welcomed me to his home for the Jewish holidays when my schedule did not allow me to spend it with my family in New York.
