Gaffney - Jayla Marie Couch Zucker, 20, of 113 Salem Rd, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024.
Born in Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of Doug Zucker and Robin Zucker Hulsey. Jayla was always active, whether it was playing softball with the Corinth Baptist Church youth or cheerleading for Granard Junior High or Gaffney High School.
In addition to her parents, Jayla is survived by her biological parents, Eric Couch of Gaffney and Stephanie Hulsey of Colorado; her siblings, Jeremey Duncan, Jada Couch Teague, Jaxon Couch, Matthew Zucker, Erica Couch, all of Gaffney, and Kyla Haire of Wedgefield, SC; her grandfather, James Couch, of Gaffney; grandparents, Steve and Regina Hulsey, of York; great-grandparents, Roger Zucker of Gaffney and Patricia Mullins of Gaffney; a special aunt, Holly Zucker of Gaffney; a special cousin, Haley Blanton, of Gaffney; three nieces; and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Jackie Couch, and an aunt, Rennie Zucker.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney. A memorial service will immediately follow at 3:00 pm in the Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney Chapel with Dr. Dwight Easler officiating.
The family will be at the residence.
