Jayne Barker, 92, entered into rest on Thursday, April 13, 2023.
Jayne was born on July 15, 1930, in Macon, Georgia. She was a faithful member of Central Baptist for 48 years. She earned two Master's Degrees from Valdosta State College for Psychology. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, holding the title as Regent of the General James Jackson chapter. Jayne loved beauty pageants and went on to start several pageants herself. In 2002, she was crowned as Ms. Georgia Senior. Jayne owned her own flower shop in Valdosta before relocating to Warner Robins. She then relocated to the Roswell area, where she's been since 2017. She was an active member of the Senior Community of Warner Robins. She was lovingly known by her family as "Chairman of the Board." She gave everyone nicknames, particularly those she loved. In her free time, she loved reading her bible and daily devotions, crossword puzzles, gossip magazines, and country music.
