Jayne Elizabeth Stenger

November 6, 1962- September 8, 2025

Jayne Elizabeth Taylor Stenger, 62, of Sidney, Maine passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness, on Sept 8th surrounded by her family. She was born in Grafton, New Hampshire on November 6th, 1962. She was the 5th child of Albert and Marion Taylor. Jayne attended schools in West Lebanon, New Hampshire before her family moved back to Maine in 1976 where they lived on Maplewood Drive in Gorham. She graduated from Gorham High School in 1981 and worked for many years at Fairchild Semi-Conductor until retiring early to care for her aging mother.

She married the love of her life Thomas Stenger, also from Gorham, on October 4th, 1997. They purchased their first home in Windham and had their only child Matthew on April 30th, 1998. They moved to Sebago where they resided for many years until after their son graduated high school and college, finally settling into their current home in Sidney, Maine. She was very proud of her son Matthew and his accomplishments.

Jayne was a devoted daughter, wife and mother. She enjoyed working outside and was an avid gardener. During the summers you could find her at her mother's house in Gorham enjoying a lobster bake with friends and family. She took pride in keeping her home immaculate. She was a wonderful caregiver for her mother until her passing. She was a fierce advocate for those she loved especially her husband and son who were her world. Jaynes life was tragically cut short, and she will be sadly missed by friends, family and all who knew her.

She is predeceased by both of her parents Albert & Marion Taylor, a sister Janet in 1962, a sister Jeanie Walker in 2013, a brother James Taylor in 2020. She is survived by her husband Thomas Stenger of Sidney, Maine, her son Matthew Stenger of Auburn, ME, her sister Julie and husband Steve Williams of Saco ME, and The Villages, FL. Her brother-in-law David Walker of West Lebanon NH, her sister-in-law Amy (Stenger) Doyle of Auburn, ME., and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jill and Peter King of Gorham, ME.
