Jayson Johnson

Jayson Johnson, 38, of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, passed away on June 1, 2024. Jayson’s family will be hosting a memorial service at Pioneer Care Center Chapel on June 30th at 2:00 PM.

Jayson was born on April 13, 1986 in Wheaton, Minnesota, to Ricky and Linda Johnson. Jayson was known for his love of the 4th of July, where he enjoyed shooting off bottle rockets. An avid Star Wars enthusiast, Jayson mastered the Chewbacca voice and shared with family and friends. Another love was the time that Jayson spent watching Viking games with his father. And lastly, his dear cat, Ginger.

Jayson is survived by his mother, Linda, of Fergus Falls; brothers Jonathan (Becky) Johnson and Justin Johnson, of Fergus Falls; aunts, Lee Ann Vermeer (Burt) of Valley Springs, South Dakota, Sandy Bernard and Connie Jacobson (Dave) of Fairmount, North Dakota; uncles, Glen Westerbur, of Lincoln, Nebraska and Wesley Johnson of Fergus Falls, Minnesota; as well as many cousins.

Those who preceded him in death, Jayson’s father, Ricky Johnson; grandparents, Paul and Lila Johnson, and John and Viola Westerbur.

Cremation services are under the care of Glende-Nilson Funeral Home and Crematory.
