Jayvon Calvin Taylor ObituaryThe joy of our lives, Jayvon Calvin Taylor, passed away July 23, 2025 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Jayvon was born February 5, 2007, in Colorado Springs to Kristen Saunders and Michael Taylor.
Jayvon grew up in Colorado Springs where he attended Elementary, Jr. High and High School in Widefield, Colorado.
In the short time that Jayvon was with us, he touched so many lives on a daily basis. From his school friends, to those he didn't even know. He would never pass anyone without saying hello.
Jayvon was a ball of energy from the day he was born.
He had a passion for gaming where he developed friendships with people from other countries, England, India and Canada just to name a few.
Jayvon loved music and dancing. Often you could hear him learning new songs on his guitars and catch him practicing dance moves. He also could be found doing his kickboxing and MMA daily.
One of Jayvon's loves, best friend, and constant companion, was Harley, who he called "Big Dog."
She was always by his side. Jayvon loved all animals big and small. He also had a passion for grilling. He loved to grill steaks for his mom, himself and "Big Dog." But Jayvon's biggest love of all was for his family. They meant everything to him, especially his mom.
Jayvon had just started working on the requirements to become a firefighter and paramedic, a career he would have excelled at.
Jayvon is survived by his mom, Kristen (Algie) Saunders; father, Michael (Dionette) Taylor; stepbrothers, Christopher Saunders, Montaveon Saunders, Ja-Quaz Saunders, Tyrese Saunders, Isaih Rodriguez, Zayne Rodriguez; stepsister, Leilani Mazariegos; his NaNa, Ann (Steven) Lopez and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
And Jayvon is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Rita and Wayne Tschiggfrie; grandparents, Lessie and Calvin Taylor, and uncle, Melvin (Allen) Owens.
