JB Etheridge, 83, of Viola, Arkansas was born on August 13, 1941, to the late Frank and Ora K. Etheridge in McNeil, Arkansas. He departed this life on April 6, 2025.
JB was united in marriage to Arlene Jamison on June 3, 1961, in Grapevine, Texas. In their union, three children were born, Teresa, John and Frank. JB was a proud member of the Viola First Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge #741 since 1994 as well as the Mountain Home Masonic Lodge #225. JB was a 3rd degree Master Mason, York Rite Mason and 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason. In his life, he has a bread franchise, owned and operated a road construction business and farmed. Later in life, he found Viola to be the best place to raise his family. The people here made it enjoyable. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene Etheridge of Viola, Arkansas; one daughter, Teresa Majors of Viola, Arkansas; two sons, John Etheridge and wife Cindy of Viola, Arkansas and Frank Etheridge and wife Lori of Viola, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; one brother; three sisters; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister all of Texas and one granddaughter of Viola, Arkansas.

Memorial Services will be 4:00 P.M. Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Viola First Baptist Church in Viola, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges and Bro. Craig Golden officiating. Visitation will be 3:00 P.M. until time of service on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Viola First Baptist Church in Viola, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to: JB Etheridge Memorial Fund at the Viola Masonic Lodge. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
