Jd Danielson

John Edward "J.D" Danielson, age 74, formerly of Almena, passed away on January 11, 2026 at Vitacare Living in Spooner. He was born on June 21, 1951 to Dale and Nora Danielson in Norfolk, VA.
J.D. milked cows at various dairy farms in the area before starting his career as an over-the-road trucker, first for South Shore Trucking, and finally for Beckers. He continued to share trucking stories with his pals as the years went by. As a matter of fact, he shared stories of all kinds. J.D. was a "happy go lucky" guy, who was never short on jokes and hard not to love. And, you better believe he would let you know exactly what was on his mind!
J.D. was also proud of his service in the US Navy, serving two tours to Vietnam on the USS Midway – which would ultimately lead to his Parkinsons and cancer.
His presence will be dearly missed.
J.D. is survived by his son, Isaac Meyer; sister, Linda Danielson; niece, Alicia (James) McCain; great-nephews, Michael Danielson and Timothy Stoeklen; and his good friend, Mike Stoeberl.
A Memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at the First Lutheran Church of Arland. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church, with Military Honors and a luncheon to follow.
Interment will follow the service at Northern WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI.
