Our mother, Jean A. (Stuckart) Anderson, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025. She was born on August 17, 1936 to Jerome and Gladys (Nockerts) Stuckart. Jean was the first daughter born of 15 children. She was taken out of school at 8th grade to help her mother take care of her younger siblings. She married our father, Kenneth M. Anderson on May 16, 1959 and they celebrated 41 years of marriage before his passing on November 21, 2000.
She was a stay at home mother who took care of us kids while we grew up. After our dad retired in 1989, our parents moved up to White Potato Lake in Pound, WI, where they enjoyed 11 years before our dad's passing. She spent a couple more years there before selling and moving back to Green Bay. While she was here, she volunteered at Woodside Nursing helping out with BINGO and also at Webster Elementary School, where she was known as Grandma Jean and read to 2nd graders. After Covid hit, she moved into an assisted living (Cottonwood Manor) and eventually moved to Grancare Nursing Home. She made a lot of friends there and enjoyed BINGO.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth L. (Sherry) Anderson and their kids, Neil (Natalie) and soon a baby girl, Gary Anderson; her daughter, Karen Mooren (John) and their kids, Joseph (Melissa) Mooren and their daughter, Jada, Kari (Ryan) Pecho and their kids: Kylie and Cayden, Casey (Becky) Mooren and their daughter, Marlee; also a daughter, Sharon Anderson and her kids, Jacob and Jessica. Also survived by sisters: Mary Jane Brott, Nancy Hendzel, Janice Jourdan and Sue Stuckart along with a brother, Robert (Peggy) Stuckart; in-laws: Lois Stuckart and Edward Brott, Marcia Stuckart and Gen Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ken; 6 brothers; 3 sisters and our dad's 2 brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be held in the chapel at Nicolet Memorial Gardens (2770 Bay Settlement Rd., Green Bay, WI), Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 9 to 11 AM. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM.
We would like to thank Grancare for their caring and compassion they've shown to our mother, especially Melody, Kelly, John, Michelle & Dana. We are forever grateful!
