    Jean Bartley, age 92, passed away Friday, March 21, 2025 at the Pikeville Nursing Home.  Jean was born on Feb. 28, 1933 to her parents the late Sylvester Williams and Cynthia Childers Williams.  She was the wife of the late Marvin Bartley, a homemaker, and a believer of the freewill baptist faith.

     Along with her husband and parents, Jean was preceded in death by her second husband, Buddy Jack Choat, one son, Joey Bartley, four brothers, Raymond Adkins, Donald Williams, Roger Williams, Cecil Williams, and one sister, Sue Smallwood.

     Jean is survived by two sons, Larry Don (Kathy) Bartley, Ricky (Valerie) Bartley, two brothers, Woody Williams, Jerry Williams, three grandchildren, Jillian Lara (Shane) Seamans, Carew Bartley, Joey Edward Bartley, two great grandchildren, Nolan and Nash Seamans, and a host of loving family and friends.

     Visitation will be Sunday at 2p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 3p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Morgan Chapman officiating.  Entombment will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery. 

   In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pikeville Freewill Baptist Church : 494 Chloe Road Pikeville, Ky. 41501
