It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jean Benge, age 64, who departed this life on November 28, 2024, in Abilene, Texas. Born on September 29, 1960, in the Congo, Jean was a devoted husband, son, and dedicated correctional officer at the TDCJ Robertson Unit, where he served his community with pride and integrity.
Jean is survived by his beloved spouse, Gina Manzana, and his two childern Happiness and Giovanni. cherished parents, Lukoki Mande Gracia and Benga Margerite. His commitment to his family and his profession was unwavering, and he will be remembered for his strength, compassion, and dedication to those he served.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday, January 3, 2024 at Elmwood Funeral Home and Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, January 4, 2024 at Elmwood Funeral Home with interment in Elmwood Memorial Park 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, TX 79606, where family and friends will come together to celebrate Jean's life and the joy he brought to those around him
May Jean Benge rest in peace, and may his spirit continue to guide and inspire us in the days ahead.
