Jean Bovitz Obituary
Jean L. Bovitz, 90, lifelong resident of Hibbing died Thursday, February 12, 2026, at her home in Hibbing.
She was born on May 9, 1935, to Ragnar and Hilda (Mattson) Anderson in Hibbing. She attended and graduated from Hibbing Schools. Jean entered into marriage with Richard Bovitz in 1959. Jean was later employed with the Hibbing General Hospital in Central Supply. She enjoyed puzzles, watching game shows on TV, playing bingo, and especially of late going to the casinos.
Jean is survived by her four children Joseph (Mary) Bovitz, Dewey Lake, MN, Cheryl Bovitz, Minnetonka, MN, Susan (Manny) Benson, Side Lake, MN, and Timothy Bovitz, Waconia, MN, four grandchildren, Zachary (Josie) Wheaton, Hibbing, Bradley Wheaton, Side Lake, MN, Amelia (Sean) Bovitz, Hibbing, and Peri Bovitz, Big Falls, MN, one great-grandson, Jude Joseph, Big Falls, MN, her sisters-and brothers-in-law, along with her many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ragnar and Hilda (Mattson) Anderson, husband, Richard Bovitz in 2023, a brother, Arthur, and her three sisters, Joyce, Ardele, and Arlene.
Per Jean's request, there will be no services held at this time.
