Jean Breit Obituary
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lena, Laureate Gamma Omicron Sorority, Stagecoach Quilters, Book Club Ladies and Vagabonds Camping Club. Jean owned Quilted Treasures for many years after working for Lena State Bank and Green County Express. Jean enjoyed riding her bike, camping, boating, snowmobiling, and attending NASCAR races in Michigan with her grandkids. She treasured her time spent with the grandkids and great grandkids, which meant the world to her.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Faye (Craig) Heilman of Lena and their children, Ashley, Austin (Skylar) and Brock (Julia); her daughter, Lynn (Kirk) Polhill of Lena and their children, Kyle, Kory (Ann), Kaitlyn; her son, Ken (Christine) Breit of San Marcos, TX and their children, Delaney (Clint) Herman and Kylie Breit; her great grandchildren, Emma, Parker, and Kenedi Heilman, Layla, Lucy, and Leo Heilman, Cora and Harper Polhill, and Eleanor and Hudson Herman; her brother, Glenn (Susan) Onkels; her sister, Mary (Bob) Peterson; her foster children, Laurie (Dan) Overesch of Appleton, WI and Michael (Julie) Rabideau of Green Bay, WI; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cy; and her sister, Donna Kessler.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Leamon Funeral Home in Lena at 1:00 p.m. with a visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Lena. A memorial fund has been established.
