Jean M. Briel, 61, of Bristol, PA passed away peacefully at home on February 25, 2026.

Born in Trenton and raised in Hamilton, New Jersey, Jean spent 25 years in Yardley, PA before making her home in Bristol, PA.

Jean was a devoted lover of dogs especially Bulldogs, as she belonged to Bulldog Clubs and Rescues. She was rarely seen without her, furbaby Hank that passed away a few years ago. Throughout her life, she rescued and cherished many dogs. Her beloved furbabies Hank, Harley, Monte and Jack have been waiting for her over the rainbow.

Upon graduating from Hamilton High School West in 1982, Jean joined the Air Force earning an Expert Marksmanship Ribbon and Overseas Long Tour Ribbon for the time she spent in Okinawa, Japan working as a Telecommunications Operations Specialist. Jean went on to work for Philip Environmental before starting her Tri-County Builders, Inc.

Predeceased by her parents, John H. Briel and Cecelia Gallagher Briel; her sisters, Patricia Veintimilla, Ellen Quinn, brother, Jackie Briel; brother-in-law, Samuel Fenton; and nephew, Shannon Fenton. Jean is survived by her sisters, Jacqueline Briel-Fenton, Cecelia Gilligan Leto and her husband, Robert; her nieces and nephews, Cecelia Takach (Roberto), Chris Lewis (Lynne), Shaun Fenton (Lisa), Michael Gilligan, Ryan Gilligan; Amy M. Franco; James E. Veintimilla Jr.; Jackie Briel Johnson, and Vicki Plumeri, her great-nieces and nephews: Kyle, Christopher, Madyson, Robert, Riley, Kenneth and Tyler; as well as many other relatives and dear friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Wednesday morning, March 4, 2026 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Knott's Colonial Funeral Home, 2946 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. Raphael-Holy Angels Parish,3500 South Broad Street, Hamilton.

Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, 1800 Hamilton Avenue, Hamilton, NJ.
