Jean Evelyn Brown

Jean Evelyn Brown was born on May 5, 1930, in Warrensburg, Missouri. She married William Brown in February, 1951. They raised three children: George Brown, Donnie Brown, and Donna Brown Moffatt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Zoll and Olta Parmley; her three brothers, her sister, and her two sons.

She moved to the lake with her husband in April of 1976. She worked at the Double Torch and Millstone Lodge as Head of Housekeeping. She was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion in Sunrise Beach, Missouri.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Brown Moffatt; four grandchildren, Mindy Burford, Sunrise Beach, MO, Ryan Marr, Sunrise Beach, MO, Matt Marr, Camdenton, MO and Kim Brown, Texas. She has 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was baptized at The First Christian Church in Warrensburg, Missouri. She passed away on March 2, 2026, at the Lake Parke Assisted Living Center in Camdenton, Missouri.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 7th, at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel. Graveside services and interment will follow at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, at Garber Memorial Estates in Laurie.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel.
