Jean Calise Obituary

Jean T. Calise
Jean T. Calise of Norwalk wife of the late Lawrence "Larry" Calise passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2025. Born on March 24, 1937 in Manhattan to the late Cesidio and Lucy (DiBona) Mazzenga. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. A graduate of Julia Richmond High School in Manhattan, where after graduation she got her start in banking working for Chase Manhattan in New York City and after moving to Norwalk, she worked at City Trust in South Norwalk, also volunteered at the Norwalk Hospital for a number of years, in the medical records department.
Jean's happiest times were spending it with family and friends, especially on Sunday's, enjoyed drawing and listening to music from her era, especially her two favorites, Bobby Darin and later on Michael Bublé.
Jean is survived by her 3 sons, Larry Calise and his wife Isabelle of Florida, Mark Calise and his wife Thomasina and Anthony Calise (Lisa Bernini) all of Norwalk, 6 grandchildren, Andrew, Christopher, Daniel, Emily, Zachary, Samuel and 6 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way, her sister, Rita, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Anna, Mary and her brother, Jerry.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 2-5 pm at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday January 27, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Matthews Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk, CT.
