Jean Cayemitte was born on April 9, 1930 in Jeremie, Haiti and passed away on December 14, 2024 at the age of 94. Pap and Grandpa as he was affectionately known, was a loving father and family man. He was a man with strong faith, he possessed a generous spirit and his daily dedication to worship demonstrated his unwavering devotion to God.
Jean reunites with his beloved wife, Suzette Cayemitte, his parents Volna Cayemitte and Louise Cayemitte and many brothers and sisters. He is survived by his children: Charly Cayemitte, Yasmine (Ronald) Ling, Mary Astride Howell, David (Michele) Cayemitte, and Fabiola (Marshall) Christopher. His legacy extents to his cherished grandchildren: Damien Cayemitte, Corey Ling, Kayla Cayemitte, Nyles Cayemitte, Devin Cayemitte, Marla Christopher, and Marlia Christopher, as well great grandchildren: Kelyse, Kayra and great great grandson Kaison.
As we remember Jean Cayemitte, We celebrate a life well lived, filled with music, singing, reciting poetry, a passion for dancing and speaking French to anyone who is willing to listen. He had a deep appreciation for life and he will live on in our hearts and all of those who where fortunate to know him.
