Jean Tollerson Claiborne

Jean Tollerson Claiborne, 73, widow of Charles Lawrence "Clay" Claiborne, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Virginia Baptist Hospital in Lynchburg. Jean was born October 28, 1938 to the late Claude and Bertie Bray Tollerson. She was employed with Mecklenburg County School System in Food Service and was a retired Manager with Hardee's. Funeral services will be 3PM Friday in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with the Reverends Sid Rodriguez and Gene Burris officiating. Interment will follow in Oakhurst Cemetery. Mrs. Claiborne is survived by her sons, Charles Newton Claiborne, III and his wife, Elaine, of Newport News, Jeffrey Tyler Claiborne and his wife, Rhonnda, of Suffolk, and Claude Jason Claiborne and his wife, Kristi, of Boydton. Her grandchildren, Ambrea, Jeremy, C.J., Kaitlyn and Ashley; brothers and sisters-in-law, Hubert and Dorothy Tollerson and Talmadge and Ruby Tollerson, of Boydton; and best friends, Ann and Roland Wilkins, also survive.
