Jean Concilio Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 12, 2026.
Jean Larrell (Anderson) Concilio
May 8, 1950 – March 10, 2026

Jean Larrell (Anderson) Concilio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in Riverton, Wyoming, surrounded by her family, after a courageous 10+ year battle with vascular dementia.

Jean was born on May 8, 1950, in Riverton, Wyoming, to Einar "Andy" and Roberta (Tarver) Anderson. She grew up in Riverton and graduated from Riverton High School. After graduation, Jean joined the United States Army, as a Keypunch Operator where she met her husband, Leonard Concilio. Jean proudly served her country for more than three years and was honorably discharged. Following their time at Fort Bragg, the couple returned to Riverton to make their home. After moving back to Wyoming, they welcomed their daughter, Amanda, and later their son, Matthew (Matt).

Jean loved Wyoming, her family, and her dogs. She worked for Fremont County School District #25 for 35 years transporting students, working in the school kitchens, and rounding out her career as the bus garage secretary until her retirement. Jean was always busy and enjoyed staying involved. She was a member of the Riverton United Methodist Church where she enjoyed crafting and creating numerous handmade items for individuals and community fundraisers. Jean and Leonard were active members in their church community. They also made sure church was ready even during tough Wyoming winters.

Jean loved to sew and created many quilts over the years; being a member of the quilt guild in Riverton. In recognition of her military service, Jean was honored with a Quilt of Valor. While raising her children, she enjoyed serving as a Girl Scout leader and director. She also took great interest exploring her family tree and spent many years researching her family history and genealogy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Einar "Andy" and Roberta Anderson; her parents-in-law, Louis and Irene Concilio; her brothers-in-law, Chuck Concilio, Sonny "Lou" Concilio and wife Joan; sister-in-law, Lorraine DiFabio; and her four beloved furry companions, Puggy, Digger, Rowdy, and Toby.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard Concilio of Riverton; children, Amanda Concilio and Matt Concilio and his girlfriend, Heather Rorabaugh, and her children, Lilly and Caleb; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Mattison, and Alexandra Leonard; brothers, Neal Anderson and his wife, Becky, and Nick Anderson and his wife, Nancy; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Ellen Concilio, Rick and Lorraine Concilio, Dominic DiFabio, Idona Concilio; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and the many friends she made over the years.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 20, 2026, at the Riverton United Methodist Church with military honors. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall, where the family would love to hear stories of how you came to know Jean.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Enhabit Hospice for the care, compassion, and love they provided to Jean and her family throughout her illness. A special thank you is also extended to Heather Rorabaugh for the soft, quiet, and calming care she provided, showing the true meaning of family caring for family.

Memorial contributions may be made to PAWS for Life Animal Shelter, which Jean requested because of her deep love and devotion to her pets, in care of Davis Funeral Home, 2203 W. Main Street, Riverton, Wyoming 82501.

Jean was always cheerful as the bus garage secretary - even when she dealt with cancer. She was a hard worker & took time to say hello. Our thoughts & prayers are with her family during this time.
