Jean Daniel of Columbus, GA, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and cherished friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 12. Born on March 2, 1938, in Crenshaw County, Alabama, Jean lived a life marked by devotion, kindness and a profound love for her family and those around her.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Wesley Daniel; her children Renee Roth, Dana Sudduth (Amy), Valerie Aust (Paul), and Angie Benoit (Steve); 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also remembered fondly by close friend, Connie Williams, along with her extended family, all of whom will miss her dearly.
Jean loved to read, watch Braves baseball, fish, work on crossword puzzles and cook, finding joy in each of these simple pleasures. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with family and friends, whether it was sharing a meal, or simply enjoying each other’s company. Her warm spirit and genuine care for others made every moment with her meaningful, and her love for life and people around her was evident in everything she did.
A service for family to honor Jean’s memory will be held at a later date to celebrate her life and legacy she leaves behind. May her soul rest in peace, and may her memory continue to bring comfort and love to all who mourn her.
