Mrs. Jean Elizabeth Powell Dellinger, 75, of Lenoir, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Frye Regional Medical Center, following a period of declining health. Jean was born on July 18, 1946 in Burke County to the late Colen Powell and Sarah Pritchard. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker, and was formerly employed with Camelot Manor for 25 years as a CNA and beautician. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ellen Hamby and a son, Jimmy Dellinger. Survivors include her husband, Eugene Dellinger of the home, four children; Janet Coffey and husband Daniel of Lenoir, Bobby Dellinger and wife Salena of Winston Salem, Jennifer Lee and husband Tommy of Hudson, and Sarah Dellinger and Joey Hollifield of Hudson. Also surviving are two sisters, Darlene Williams and husband Marshall, and Martha Whisnant, one brother, Robert Powell, eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Always and forever in our hearts......... The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 11, 2021, from 12:00 until 4:00 P.M. at her sister, Darlene Williams residence, 1922 Baton School Road, Lenoir, NC 28645.

It is with deepest sympathy for the family on the death of their loved one. Jean was a great person with a loving heart. Sarah I am so sorry for the loss of you mom. Prayers for you and family.
