Charles D. Dellinger

Charles D. Dellinger went to his heavenly home on January 5, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Janie for 73 years. Prior to his time with Chanel 4 TV, he was a veteran of the Korean war. Charlie retired from WYFF-4 TV in 1998 after 43 years of service with a family he loved. He was the son of the late Benjamin and Maude Dellinger. He was an active member of Hampton Heights Baptist Church until his health began to fail.
Charles is survived by his wife, Janie; and their four children: David, Bob (Katy), Denise (Mike), and Lisa; also, seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He was predeceased by his parents; his brother Blaire, his sister Ethel; and one grandchild.
The Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 12, 2026, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown Chapel. Family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Wade Hampton Blvd., Greenville, S.C.
