Jean Featherhat passed from this life Sunday, May 18, 2025 in St. George, UT.
She was born in October 22, 1948 in Richfield, UT to Betty Yazzie and Douglas Timican.
Jean attended most of her schools years in Wellsville, UT and attended High School at Skyview High School in Smithville, UT. Jean left High school in 1969 and moved back to Richfield, UT where she met and was briefly married to Dwayne Pikyavit, they divorced in 1973.
She met the love of her life Harlan Featherhat in 1975 and they married in Richfield, UT on June 27, 1979. Jean spent most of her adult life raising her children Michelle, Kevin, Amber, Bryan, Jason and Elayna in Richfield, UT. Jean and Harlan moved to Cedar City, UT in 1999 where she remained until her passing.
Jean grew up a member of the LDS faith and had a deep faith in her Heavenly Father.
Jean enjoyed traveling with her family and husband whether it was around the United States or the backroads of Utah. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved going to the Lake and the Canyons of Utah. She loved to Garden and plant flowers. She enjoyed sitting outside in the Spring and Summertime admiring her backyard. She loved going to yard sales and Thrift stores. She loved going to Mesquite and playing I-15 Bingo but most of all she loved spending time with her husband Harlan.
Jean is survived by her husband Harlan Featherhat of Cedar City, UT; her children: Michelle Shatto of Blue Springs, MO, Kevin Pikyavit of Salt Lake City, UT, Amber Pikyavit of Blue Springs, MO, Bryan Featherhat of Utah, Jason Featherhat of Cedar City, UT, Elayna Featherhat of Cedar City, UT; her grandchildren: Nizhonie Pikyavit, David Christensen Jr, Brandon Featherhat, Caden Yepa, Shelby Shatto, Naomi Featherhat, Hailee Yepa, Jewel Benson, Destiny Christensen, Asaylie Featherhat, Brianne Featherhat, Danielle Christensen, Nannabah Tom, Drea Christensen, Nakoa Aki-Paleka; her siblings: Vida Clark and Shirley Lehi.
She was preceded in death by her father Douglas Timican and mother Betty Yazzie. Brothers, Chester Cantsee, Jerry Lehi, Boyd Cantsee, Baby boy Cantsee, Sisters: Lilly Watson, Lucy Timican, Mary Tallman and Jennifer Cantsee.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel in Richfield.
Burial will be at the Richfield Cemetery under the care of Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina.
