Jean Henning Obituary
She was born on January 29, 1931, in Toledo, Ohio to Walter and Dorothy (Malzahn) Lammers. On July 3, 1949, she married Alvin Henning in Adrian. They shared more than 58 years of marriage before Al's passing on February 5, 2007.
Jean and her husband Al owned and operated Jerry's in Adrian. In her personal time, Jean found joy in gardening, baking for those she loved, and spending time with her family.
To cherish her memory, Jean leaves her two sons, Alan (Delma) Henning and Robert (Cathy) Henning; two daughters, Debra (Howard) Ickler and Joy (Troy) Fields; nine grandchildren; four step grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and one step great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian from 11:00 to 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian.
Memorial contributions in honor of Jean are suggested to benefit Lenawee Humane Society. Friends can express sympathies to the family online by visiting the tribute wall at www.marryfh.com. Arrangements have been made with the guidance of the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian.
