It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Hooven, age 88, of Cincinnati, Ohio, who left this world on July 29, 2025. Born on July 5, 1937, in Cincinnati, Jean was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who dedicated her life to those she cherished.
Jean was a woman of warmth and spirit, known for her deep love for family and the joy she found in simple pleasures. She enjoyed spending time basking in the sun in her front yard, where laughter and love surrounded her. In her younger years, she was an enthusiastic member of a local bowling league, showcasing her competitive spirit while forming lifelong friendships.
She leaves behind her cherished son, David (Brenda) Hooven; beloved sisters, Sandy Bledsoe and Zella Kuhlman; her adored grandchildren, Sandy (Bill) Kuntsman, Dave Hooven, Holly Lade, Minna and Christopher; and her great-grandchildren, Hayley, Brendan, Dustin, Brooklyn, Kylie, Gavin, and Zach, as well as son-in-law Terry Wisler. Jean's legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched with her kindness and love.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Harry "Hank" Hooven, parents, Arthur and Neti Hines, daughter, Terri Wisler, and grandson, Michael Wisler.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th, 2025 from 12:30-1:30pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231 (Follow the BLUE line). A funeral service will follow at 1:30pm. Burial will take place at 2:30pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens.
Jean's spirit will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
