Jean Leon Jauregui

I met Leon back in the 80's when I was dating a local sheep rancher. I was so impressed with his kindness and his stories. I've long since moved from the area, but have never forgotten the handsome Basque sheepherder who could bake bread in a Dutch oven the size of a wash pan and who taught me the correct way to drink Paisano from a bota bag. RIP Leon.

Leon lived a long, healthy life. We will miss him.

My prayers are with the family of the most generous, kind and heartwarming man I have ever had the pleasure to meet. He truly was the best and will always be in my thoughts.
