Jean Margaret Larson was born on January 25, 1953, in Wadena, Minnesota, the daughter of Harry and Florence (Monroe) Cable. She grew up in Morgan, was baptized and confirmed at the Methodist Church in Morgan and graduated from Morgan High School in 1971. Jean attended the Willmar Vo-Tech Legal Secretary program and began employment in Renville County as the Clerk of Court. On May 24, 1980, Jean was united in marriage to Jerome "Mike" Larson and they made their home in the Willmar community. Jean later worked as a Legal Secretary for Robert Cudd, Attorney at Law, as a Corporate Secretary for Juba's Super Value Corporation, a Claims Service Representative for Farm Bureau Insurance and a Receptionist at Bethesda Pleasant View Nursing Home. On February 1, 2019, Jean retired.
Jean always said, after being a mother...the best thing is being a "Grandma" to five wonderful grandchildren. The best times were with the grandkids baking goodies, doing craft projects, watching movies and especially the sleepovers! Jean also enjoyed sewing, crafts, crocheting, reading and going on walks. But Jean especially enjoyed planning and going on family vacations.
She is survived by her two children, Tim (and Kellie) Larson of Willmar and Christina (and Jon) Lustfield of Balaton; five grandchildren, Mason, Emmie, Ava, Ryker and Vienna; and two siblings, Dick (and Alice) Cable of Lakeville and Sharon (and Garrit) Jepma of Glenwood; besides other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Judy Albertson and Thomas Cable.
