Jean Lemon Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Valley Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Roanoke on Jan. 4, 2024.
Jean Carol Lemon, born on March 5, 1955, transitioned peacefully on January 2, 2024, with her devoted husband, Daniel Lemon, by her side.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Ferrel Lawson, and Norma Hayes Lawson, as well as her brothers Bruce, Larry, David, Ferrel, Phillip, and Kenneth Lawson. Jean also mourned the loss of her cherished son, Gregory Duane Barton.
Jean leaves behind a legacy of love cherished by her husband, Daniel, and her children, Cynthia LaPradd (Jackie LaPradd) and Misty Beason (William J. Beason III). She will be remembered fondly by her six grandchildren, Vivian, Silas, Daniel, Dominic, Arielle, and Kali, as well as her cousin, Sharmin Hayes.
Jean was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and cousin. Her journey of love and companionship with Daniel spanned over 40 years of marriage, creating a bond that withstood the test of time. She shared a special and enduring relationship with her cousin, Sharmin Hayes.
In her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother, Jean's life was a testament to the power of love and family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were touched by her kindness, warmth, and enduring love.
A graveside service to celebrate Jean's life will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions to support the funeral expenses. Your generous donations will be greatly appreciated during this challenging time. Your support will allow us to honor our loved one in a meaningful way. If you wish to make a contribution, you can do so through contacting the funeral home directly. We are grateful for any assistance you can provide, and your contribution will help ease the financial burden as we come together to celebrate the life of our dear Jean Lemon. Thank you for your consideration and support.
