Jean Young Mitchell, age 97, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024.
Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, September 13, 2024, at Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home in Loveland, OH.
Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park, in Blue Ash, OH.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home in Ohio.
Jean entered this life on October 18, 1926, in Nashville, TN. Jean was an avid golfer up until the age of 92. She had two hole-in-one awards. She also enjoyed reading and playing scrabble. She was a member of N.E. Church of Christ, and Loveland Women’s Club. Jean also enjoyed fellowship at Loveland Heights Church of Christ and Gateway Christian Church, in Clarksville, TN.
In addition to her mother, “Danny” Daniel Hudson Young, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, John Tillman Mitchell, Jr., and son in law, David Kipp.
Survivors include her children; Janet Kipp, Dianne (Rich) Peters, Alan (Teresa) Mitchell, Brian (Cindy) Mitchell, and Karen (Richard) Martin; eleven grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
