Publish in a newspaper
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Pinetta Baptist Church, in Irwin County, Georgia, with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in the Pinetta Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services in the sanctuary of the church.
Ms. Morgan was born October 12, 1933, in Gordon County, Georgia, to the late Clyde & Ruby Ferguson Owen. After graduating high school, Ms. Morgan attended business school. She worked for South Georgia Medical Center in data processing for over 20 years. Ms. Morgan was a member of Morningside Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Brian Burkhardt of Valdosta and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman L. Morgan; a granddaughter, Krista Howell; 12 brothers and sisters; and her beloved mother-in-law, Louise Gibbs Chaney.
Paulk Funeral Home, Ocilla, is in charge of arrangements.
