Jean Ann Nylen

Jean Nylen, 61, passed away on June 30, 2025 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN. Born the daughter of David G. and Naudean (Maas) Lambert on October 8, 1963, Jean was a lifelong resident of the Northland.
She graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1982 and went on to build a fulfilling career as a retail sales manager for Van Hausen Retail in Albertville, MN. Jean was also a dedicated member of Job's Daughters International, a Masonic-affiliated organization for young women.
On March 24, 2000, Jean married Timothy Lee Nylen, and they celebrated 24 wonderful years together before his passing on March 19, 2019. Their marriage was a testament to shared commitment, love, and mutual respect, and they built a beautiful life together centered around family.
Jean lived with quiet strength, deep compassion, and unwavering devotion. A loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, she will be remembered for her spunky spirit and steady presence. For many years, she selflessly served as the primary caregiver for those she loved.
She found joy in the simple pleasures-family gatherings, comforting others, and preserving cherished traditions. Jean's warmth and ability to connect made her a pillar of support for everyone in her life.
Jean is survived by her son, Cole Nylen; mother, Naudean Oesterreich; siblings: Theresa Cloutier, David (Terry) Lambert, Mark (Donna) Lambert, Janet (Dennis) Reuille; aunts Helen Porter, Sally Cihunka, Penny (Mike) Hucovski, Bill (Nancy) Maas; nephew Jason (Kathy) Laurvick; granddog Wally and cat Bella; along with many other loving extended family members and dear friends.
A celebration of Jean's life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The Moose Club, 66 East 5th Street, Superior, WI 54880. The first hour (12:00-1:00 p.m.) will be reserved for family only.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you honor Jean's memory by offering kindness and care to someone in need-just as she so often did.
Jean's warmth and light touched everyone she met. May she rest in peace, reunited with her beloved husband, father and stepfather and forever remain in our hearts.
