Jean Rossano, age 97 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. She was born in Hoboken, New Jersey and lived in Ridgewood and Midland Park before moving to Mahwah.
Jean and her husband Peter were co-owners of Wyckoff Carpet in Wyckoff before retiring the business in 1987. She continued her work career for a few additional years as a sales representative at Finders Keeper/Payhalf in Midland Park.
Jean was a parishioner of Church of Nativity where she volunteered her clerical skills with administrative duties and was an active member of the Rosary Society and Eucharist Ministry.
She and her husband were also active members of the Mahwah Seniors and Honda Club.
Jean was predeceased by her loving husband in August 2017. Surviving is her daughter Carol Ann Gallagher and her husband Thomas of Mahwah. Also surviving are her grandchildren,
Teresa Abbott and her husband Tyler, Michael Gallagher, Joseph Gallagher and his wife Christine. Jean is also survived by her two beautiful great grandchildren, Angelina and Anthony
Abbott. She was predeceased by a brother and two sisters.
Visiting will be held on Sunday, October 19, from 3-5:00 PM at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at
10:00 AM at Church of Nativity, 315 Prospect Street, Midland Park. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah.
Memorial contributions to Church of the Nativity, Midland Park would be appreciated.
