Jean D. Salzman

Jean D. Salzman, 88, Fond du Lac, died peacefully on October 25, 2025. We are comforted by the belief that she has been freed from her weary, earthly body and has joined her husband, son and other family and friends who have passed before her to eternal life.

Jean was born February 27, 1937, to the late Lawrence and Bernice (Wilhelm) Floyd. On June 27, 1953, Jean married the late Clarence “Salty” Salzman Sr. They enjoyed 50 years together before his passing in 2003. Jean worked for 29 years in retail and retired from Shopko in De Pere.

Jean and Clarence retired and moved to their home in Wausaukee, where many memories were made. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and playing cards. Jean and Salty also enjoyed spending time with their children and grandchildren.

In Jean’s later years, she enjoyed time and travels with her companion, Bob; especially to their home in Florida, where they met many friends.

Jean is survived by her children, Clarence Jr. (Linda) Salzman, Gary Salzman, Diane Stephan; grandchildren, Sarah (Amber Miles) Salzman, Ryan (Susann) Salzman, Garrick (Kayla) Salzman, William “Billy” Stephan, Karlie (Roy) Reyes; great-grandchildren, Luke, Levi, Maverick, Caden, Vanek and Julia; a very special niece, Sue (Rick) Miller; siblings, Roy (Jo) Floyd, Dennis Floyd, and Roger (Barbie) Floyd; as well as many other family and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jean is preceded in death by her son, David; daughter in law, Karen Salzman; siblings, Eileen Floyd, Ruth Eiring, Ellen Sobralski, Lawrence Jr. “Chuck” Floyd, Earl Floyd, and Mary Jo Floyd.

Visitation for Jean will be held on Friday, October 31, at Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave, Fond du Lac, WI from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 12:00 PM. Mike Taylor, a dear friend of Jean's, will be officiating the Funeral Service. Burial will follow the service at Ledgeview Memorial Park.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to a special friend, Jenny, the staff at The Meadows in Fond du Lac, Agnesian Hospice Home of Hope and SSM Hospice in Fond du Lac, for their special care and concern which has been a great comfort to Jean and her family.
