Jean V. (Reasner) Sills, 70, of Byesville, passed away Monday (April 14, 2025) at the Morrison House, Zanesville.
She was born November 14, 1954 in Jacksonville FL, daughter of Dodie (Politano) Chappell and the late Grover Reasner.
Jean attended Cambridge High School and worked in home healthcare for thirty years, retiring from Lomeda.
She enjoyed car trips, casino outings, playing bingo, and cooking. She was known for her delicious homemade cabbage rolls. She loved watching the sporting events of her grandkids.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lee Sills, who passed away October 21, 2024. They were married January 29, 1972. Also deceased is a brother, John Rose.
Jean is survived by her mother, Dodie Chappell of Old Washington; two sons, Jerry L. (Christy) Sills of Cambridge and Steve A. (Sommer) Sills of Springfield; a brother, Kent Reasner of Alabama; a sister, Jonnie (John) Latchic of Cambridge; five granddaughters, Brittney Sills, Kennedy (Terry) Leasher, Morgan Sills (Jordan Fain), Emma Sills, and Seanna Sills; three great-grandchildren, Brantley, Hensley, and Rylee; and several nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday (April 17, 2025) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville.
