Jean C. Stecher (nee Maloney), age 87, of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on November 17, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1938, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Maloney. Jean worked in Customer Service with TV Guide for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping and going out to dinner. Jean was devoted to her family and lovingly crocheted many blankets for them.
Jean was the beloved wife of the late Gary R. Stecher; loving mother of Susan Franchi (the late Richard), Joe McNulty (the late Rosemary), Pamela Martin (Michael), and the late Baby Sandy; caring grandmother of Mark (Xie), Nicholas, Jeana, Patrice (Kevin), Michael (Emily), and Alyssa and great-grandmother of Zia, one on-the-way, Michael, III, Mackenzie, and Mason; dear sister of Jeri Devore (the late Bruce); also survived by her step-children, Linda Snopkowski and Robert Stecher; and nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 8:30-10:00 AM Friday, November 21, 2025 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, 610-353-6300, followed by her Funeral Mass 10:30 AM at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Brandywine Valley SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380, would be appreciated.
