Jean Elaine Weaverling, 77, of Katy, Texas passed away on October 10, 2024. Born January 22, 1947, in Warren, PA, Jean lived an abundant life marked by her devotion to family and her distinct sense of humor.
While attending Everett High School, Jean met her husband Clem, who was serving in the United States Army. She dedicated her life to being a housewife and mother, a role she cherished deeply. Her home was always filled with laughter and love, creating a warm and welcoming environment for everyone.
She enjoyed gardening, creating a special garden for her grandchildren that remains a testament to her love and dedication. She also had an avid interest in antique glassware, spending hours collecting and learning about each piece's unique story. Jean had a passion for traveling, visiting many sites throughout Europe and the United States. Her love of the beach was well known among her family, and she often accompanied her husband, Clem, to the sandy shores during his work conferences in Alabama and Florida.
A resident of Katy, TX, Jean is survived by her daughters: Natalie Benitez of Simonton, TX; Terri Jensen of Sealy, TX; Jill Johnson of Thief River Falls, MN; and Jacki Nelson of Conroe, TX. She also leaves behind six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents Clyde V and Monta M Clark, her beloved husband, Clem E. Weaverling, her daughter Julie M. Weaverling, and her sisters, Janet Foltz and Joanne Johnson.
A celebration of life will be held at 36720 Lariat Lane, Simonton, TX on November 2, 2024, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Her family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the joy she brought into their lives.
