Jeanetta Martin

Jeanetta Martin, 87, widow of Billy Joe Martin Sr., of Stanton passed away Saturday, December 20, 2025 at the Stanton Nursing Center. She was born October 11, 1938 in Bowen, Kentucky to the late Avery Dave and Ethel Oaks Crabtree. Jeanetta worked many years in the Sheriffs Office alongside her husband and son, the judges office, and was a retiree of the Powell County Board of Education working from 1983-2000. Survivors include, daughter, Pam (Timmy) Tipton; grandchildren, Martin (April) Tipton, Hannah (Josh) Parsons, Hunter Clay Martin, and Cody Hall; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Tipton, Eliza Parsons, Kiser Parsons, and McKinnley Hall; and sister, Ladonna Crabtree. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Billy Joe Martin Jr, brothers and sisters, Sylvia Finney, Ann Wilson, Jimmy Crabtree, Earl Crabtree, Malcom Crabtree, and Joyce Crabtree. Funeral services Monday, December 22, 1:00PM Wells Funeral Home by Bro. Terry Frerichs. Visitation Sunday 6-8pm at the funeral home. Burial in Resthaven Cemetery with Martin Tipton, Hunter Martin, Cody Hall, Josh Parsons, Jim Dennis, Charles Crabtree, and Glen Crabtree serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers serving Norma Marcum, Betty Atkinson, Katherine Dennis, Mike & Thelma Skidmore, Larry & Kay Epperson, Cebert Gilbert, Debbie Pelfrey, and nurses and staff at Stanton Nursing Center.
