Eva Celia Jeanette Spencer-Davis passed away peacefully with family present on August 26, 2024. She was 93 years old, born October 19,1930 in Columbus, Ohio and is the last of eight siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper Gilbert Dunn and Vena Esther Workman-Dunn, her husband Marvin Davis, Brothers Russell (Evajean) and Gilbert Dunn, sisters Esta (Hollis) Boice, Vica (Edward) Drake, Charlotte (Gerald) Summerfield, Audrey (Robert) Reed, Etta (Lloyd) Bays daughter in-law Linda Spencer and Grandchildren Eric Stevens and Cher Spencer.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Betty Ebright Dunn. Her children, Ronald Spencer, Darlene (Robert) Rayburn and Thomas (Theresa) Spencer. She has several grandchildren, Scott (Brandy) Spencer, Jason (Staci) Spencer, Kymberly (Jason) Jones, Robert (Mika) Spencer, Mary (Zeno) Lowe, Ginger (Justin) Burke and Diana (Rocky) Horner. Great Grandchildren, Jacob and Alexis Spencer, Addyson Jones, Josh (Whitney) Graves, Kyesha Jonson, Leigh Ann (Keegan) Salyers, Timothy Watts. In addition, she has numerous nieces and nephews.
To her family she was Jeanette or Aunt Net, she loved to sing and frequently did so at gatherings and parties as well as being in annual shows funded by the Columbus & Southern Ohio Electric Company with her brother and other family members. Jeanette had a fondness for the Keeshond Breed and had two of them Skipper and Smokey, they kept her young and also, they were great protectors. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Playing games and cards with family was an avid pastime throughout her life. She relished the opportunity to go to the movies and eat ice cream with her granddaughter Kym. She lived life to the fullest and did not take herself too seriously, always ready to tell a great story all the while laughing at the story and at herself. The majority of her career was spent as a Hostess for Ponderosa on S High Street, never knowing a stranger.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday September 4, 2024, beginning at 11:00 AM until the time of funeral service at 12 noon at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 South High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43207, with Pastor Stephen Hielkema officiating.
