Jeanette Fry Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Greenlawn Funeral Home Branson on Dec. 9, 2025.
Jean Fry, 95, of Point Lookout, Missouri, asleep in Jesus, Saturday, December 6, 2025. She was born in Redlands, California on July 31, 1930 and was the beloved wife for 68 years of Dr. G. Stanley Fry, who preceded her in death in 2018. Jean lead a life of service to her Lord Jesus, her family, and community by giving of her time, talent, and resources – indeed living a full life. She enjoyed playing the pipe organ and carillon, as well as singing for various functions during the many years spent living on the College of the Ozarks campus. She served as a Cub Scout Den Mother for over ten years and in many capacities for various clubs and organizations. Perhaps she will be remembered most for sharing her love of her Savior, Jesus Christ, with family, friends and strangers ~ whether by word or deed – opening her home and heart to others.

Survivors include her children, son, Steven Fry, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; son Paul Fry and wife Shawn of Ozark, Missouri; son David Fry and wife Phyllis of Mountain Home, Arkansas; and daughter, Sarah Garrison and husband Tim, of Myrtle, Missouri.

Grandchildren include Lindsay Fry-Geier, husband Will, great grandson Owen, great granddaughter Francie, and great grandson Finn, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Stephen Fry and wife Lauren of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Jordan Fry, wife Sarah, and great grandson Warner, of Springfield, Missouri; Ryan Fry and wife Elizabeth and great grandsons Deacon, Archer and Benton, of Frisco, Texas; Matthew Fry of Springdale, Arkansas; Andrew Garrison of Bolivar, Missouri; Anna Garrison of Myrtle, Missouri; and Ashley Garrison of Pocahontas, Arkansas.

Visitation will be held from 4pm to 6pm on Friday, December 12, 2025 at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson, Missouri. Private graveside services for the family will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

Jean delighted in all of God's creation and providing for some in need would be a perfectly fitting tribute. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri Springfield, Missouri.
