New Iberia, LA - A Memorial Service for Mrs. Jeanette P. Hills, the former Jeanette Pennier will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Fletcher Funeral Home with Deacon Roland Jeanlouis, officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Fletcher Funeral Home on Saturday, October 11, 2025, beginning at 8:00 A.M until the time of the service with a rosary to be recited at 9:15 A.M.

Jeanette Pennier Hills was a resident of New Iberia, LA. She departed this life on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 10:21 A.M. at Iberia Medical Center.

She was a member of Saint Edward Catholic Church. Educationally, Jeanette was a graduate of Jonas Henderson High School Class of 1969.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Melvin Hills, Jr. (Catina) of Lafayette, LA and Terrance Hills (Gunica) of Youngsville, LA; two daughters, Tameka Craig (Larry) of Houston, TX and Tiffany Quinn (Derrick) of New Orleans, LA; one brother, Carsten Pennier (Margaret) of Slidell, LA; two sisters, Patsy Singleton (Bernard) of New Iberia, LA and Katherine White of Lafayette, LA; nine grandchildren, Dewayne Thomas, Dylan Craig, Kamerin Greene, Kennedy Greene, Shamanda Hills, Melvin Hills III, Miles Hills, Caleb Hills, Logan Hills, and Ty Hills; two great-grandchildren, Karter Ratliff and Kacen Rouzan; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Hills, Sr.; parents, Edward Carsten Pennier and Leora Augillard Pennier; brother, Carlton James Pennier; maternal grandparents, Henry Augillard and Athalie Augillard; paternal grandparents, Ovide Pennier and Estelle Pennier.
