Jeanette T. Howard, affectionally known to as "Nanny". Jeanette was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt. Jeanette was born on February 24, 1937, to the late Oscar and Anna Victorian Toussaint.
God was fit to release her from the trials of this old world on January 8, 2024. Jeanette accepted Christ at an early age. She was a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana for many years. She moved back to her native hometown of New Roads, Louisiana. She was known to have the best frozen cups in New Roads. One of her pastime was sitting on the porch talking with family and friends. Also, she loved having biblical discussions with family and friends also. Jeanette will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Those she leaves to cherish her memories are; one son, Frank Toussaint of New Orleans, Louisiana, one bonus child Joslian Toussaint of New Roads, Louisiana and one Godson, Charles Croom, Jr., of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren,
Crystal Gremillion, Mracus Toussaint and Jeanette Cobbins all of New Orleans, Louisiana, one sister-in-law, Alice Byrd Toussaint (john) of Kenner, Louisiana. A host of nieces, nephews and relatives.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Anna Victorian Toussaint, two brothers, Sam Toussaint and John Toussaint, four sisters, Brenetta Toussaint, Orelia Toussaint, Alice Ferry and Mary T. Croom.
