Jeanette Robertson King was born August 20, 1935 in Kemp, TX. She went to meet her Lord and Saviour September 24, 2023 in Athens, TX.
Jeanette became a member of Malakoff First Assembly of God in 1964, after she moved back to Malakoff. She was a realtor for Century 21 Tomlinson Reality for over 25 years. She also served several terms on the Malakoff City Council. An avid gardener, Jeanette loved planting flowers. She loved to cook and bake and was especially known for her coconut pies. She also loved attending Southern Gospel Concerts with Debbie, Justin and special friends Vanna and Michael Nokes. Jeanette loved to play 42.
She is preceded in death by her parents Thaddeus Marion Robertson and Leta Aday Robertson; her husband of 57 years, Rex King and her brother Dewayne Robertson.
She is survived by her brother Harvey Robertson (Saundra), Athens, TX; sister Mary Dillard, Weatherford,TX; step-sisters Sue Butler and Kay Stanfield (Roy), Trinidad, TX; daughters Debbie Vieregge (Rick), Malakoff, TX; Sandy Savage (Jason), Malakoff, TX; grandsons Justin Vieregge and Josh Vieregge (Kelsey), Malakoff, TX; and granddaughter Natalie Mannon (Rusty), Malakoff, TX. She was especially proud of her five great-grandsons Knox, Camden & Jamison Vieregge and Kase & Rhett Mannon and great-granddaughter Adley Mannon; nephews Robby Robertson (Marna), Matt Robertson and David Robertson; Angie Carlow (John), Jackie Casey (Richard) and Kimberly McClintock (Eric).
Visitation will be 10:00 AM Thursday September 28, 2023 at Hilltop Worship Center, Malakoff, TX. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 AM at the same location. Gaylord Brown, Ken Jones and Jason Hayes officiating.
If you would like to wear purple or pink, in her honor, those who knew her will know those were her favorite colors.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made, in her name, to go toward the building projects at Hilltop Church. A children's playground is one of their projects.
