Jeanette M. Niemi, age 89 of Enon, formerly of Ishpeming, Michigan, passed away Monday, June 2, 2025. She was born January 3, 1936 in Ishpeming, Michigan, the daughter of the late John and Lillian Thomas.
Jeanette worked as an LPN for 35 years at Palmer Nursing Home, Marquette General Hospital and Bell Memorial Hospital. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her husband and could be found anywhere near the water. She loved spending time with her grandchildren which included camping, baking and various other adventures. She also loved reading, watching crime tv, visiting the Grand Ole Opry and shopping, especially at Walmart. When her great grandchildren came around, she enjoyed going to the park and sharing her love of shopping with them. Jeanette was a member of Hilltop Spiritualist Church and enjoyed the fellowship she had there.
In addition to her parents and her siblings, she is preceded in death by her husband, Eero Niemi.
Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Debora (Marvin)Campbell; grandchildren, James (Nikki) Campbrill, Bobbie (Chris) Caylor and Laura (Jonathan) Snyder; great grandchildren, Camden Roberts, Nick Snyder, Tristan Campbrill, Jayden Lyons, Tanner Snyder, Carson Campbrill and Landen Caylor; great great grandson, Kadence Roberts and her special dog, Nikko.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Clark County Dog Shelter in Jeanette's honor.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Intermediate Care Unit Team at Soin Medical Center for all of their love and support during this difficult time.
Visitation will be Friday, June 6, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with a service to follow at 4:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432).
