Jeanette Rita Simone, age 88 passed away peacefully on June 6, 2024. She was the youngest of six children born to the late Francesco and Amelia (nee Filanardi) Pro in South Philadelphia. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Simone. Devoted mother of Mary (Julius) Campanella. Cherished grandmother of Theresa M. DiTizio, Julius J. Campanella, and great grandmother of Julianna DiTizio (father Robert DiTizio). Dear sister of the late Sylvia Pella Pro, Joseph, Alexander and Alfredo Pro.
Jean was born and raised in South Philadelphia. Jean was very fashionable, energetic, and had a dynamic personality. She worked as a secretary for Bonwit Teller and Remington Rand. She married Joseph, moved to Berlin, and became a farmer's wife. She loved entertaining family and friends. Jean worked at Columbia Records in Pitman. She and her husband owned and operated Circle S Ranch for over 20 years. She enjoyed riding her horse Big Red, and participated in various parades. Jean loved entertainment and worked for Atco Multiplex and the theatres in Voorhees, now known as AMC. She worked at the movie theatres for over thirty years, loved everyone she worked with, and enjoyed interacting with moviegoers. Above all and most important to Jean were her love of family, her grandchildren and great granddaughter. She is loved by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Jean has touched many hearts throughout her years.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation on Tuesday evening June 11th from 7:00-9:00PM at the COSTANTINO-PRIMO FUNERAL HOME, 231 W. White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ 08009 and again on Wednesday morning from 10:00-11:00AM at Christ the Redeemer Parish, Assumption Church, 318 Carl Hasselhan Drive, Atco, NJ 08004. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Berlin Cemetery, 40 Clementon Road, Berlin, NJ 08009. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude's Children Hospital or Forgotten Angels Equine Rescue.
