Jeanette Smith

Jeannette Smith was born May 24, 1966, in Stamford, Connecticut, to Vernon C. Smith and Ludell Mosley Smith. She peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
She was educated at Long Ridge Day School and Stamford Catholic High School in Stamford, CT. She decided to pursue a business career and attended Katherine Gibb Business School in Stamford, CT. She was once employed in multiple offices as a bilingual secretary in her younger years.
She was a loving mother. She had a deep passion for the arts and was a constant fan of listening to music on her favorite boom box. She brought light into every room she entered and into the hearts of all who knew her. She had a deep love for God, which guided her life and gave her strength in all things. Her smile, compassion, and generosity made a lasting impact on everyone she met. She radiated positivity and love in our lives and will be dearly missed.
Jeannette was predeceased in death by her father, Vernon C. Smith, of Stamford, CT; paternal grandparents, Vernon Smith and Lola Smith, of Suffolk, VA; maternal grandparents, Otto Mosley and Martha Mosley, of Stamford, CT; and one Aunt, Lucille Sistrunk, of Stamford, CT.
She leaves to cherish her treasured memory one daughter, Zoya M. Brand of Stratford, CT; her mother, Ludell Smith of Stratford, CT; and her brother Christopher M. Smith of Stratford, CT, along with her special friend John Brand and buddy Charlie.
The family wishes to thank the excellent nursing staff, especially Amy and Kelly.
A celebration of life will be held on April 16, 2025. The viewing starts at 10 a.m., and the service begins at 11 a.m., at Summerfield United Methodist Church, 110 Clermont Ave, Bridgeport, CT 06610.
