Jeanette Speakmon (Jan), age 88, of Westerville, passed away on Saturday, May 17 th 2025 in the arms of her beloved daughter, Jill.
She was born on September 17th, 1936, in Westerville to the late Ferdinand and Maude (Strider) Clark. Jan attended New Albany High School and later married her beloved husband Jack Speakmon in 1972. Together they shared many wonderful years until his untimely death in 1983.
Jan was an avid OSU Football and Basketball fan and organized a massive family football pool. She enjoyed making crafts, shopping, watching Golf, traveling and baking Christmas Cookies with her daughter-in-laws. She was a member of the Red Hats, participated in Community Outreach and Involvement Programs, and was an active contributor to the Jack Speakmon Memorial Regatta.
Jans greatest joy came from nurturing and supporting those she loved a trait her family and friends will forever hold dear in their hearts for many years to come.
She is survived by sons, Steve (Lisa) Lynch, Brett (Debbie) Lynch, and daughter, Jill Ryman; grandchildren, Stephanie, Shane, Chad and Brent Lynch, Dani Lynch and Chloe Ryman; great-grandchildren, Mason and Avery Lynch as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her grandson Dustin Michael Lynch and siblings, Donna Feazel, Erma Butts, Velma Tschakert, Cloise, Robert, Orin, Chlo Ann and Howard Clark.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 28 th at 2:00pm at Genoa Baptist
Church, 7562 Lewis Center Rd, Westerville OH 43082.
Private family Internment at Fancher Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in Jans memory.
