Selinsgrove – Jeanette I. Vought, 98, of Selinsgrove, passed away Monday, February 23, 2026 surrounded by family at the Mansion Nursing & Rehabilitation in Sunbury.

Born in Pottsville, on December 24, 1927, to the late William H. and Elmira (Martz) Miller. She graduated in 1945 from Sunbury High School.

On November 25, 1945, Jeanette married the late George N. Vought, together they shared 67 years of marriage. Among many shared business ventures, they operated Shangri-La Campground and built Winfield Riveredge campground. Some of her fondest memories were made meeting loyal campers and friends each season along the Susquehanna.

After retirement Jeanette volunteered at Sunbury Community Hospital for over thirty years until the hospital closed its doors.

Jeanette was an excellent bridge player since she was a young woman playing several times per week. So much so she was dubbed the “queen” by many bridge partners.

She was of Methodist faith and was a lifetime member of Eastern Star.

Jeanette is survived by two sons, George Vought, Jr. and his wife Stephanie of Rio Rancho, NM, and Jay Vought and his wife Tami of Northumberland; two sons-in-law, David Gilbert of Northumberland, and Larry Brungart of South Williamsport; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Jeanette is preceded in death by, two daughters, Joyce Gilbert; and Gail Brungart; and four brothers, James Miller, Robert Miller, Lyman Miller, and Lloyd Miller.

The family would like to thank the staff at Mansion for the loving care given to Jeanette for her last seven months. Also, thank you to the staff at Brookdale Grayson View in Selinsgrove for helping Jeanette live her best life for the previous two years.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being cared for by Gotlob-Campbell Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc. James R. Gotlob, Supervisor. To send condolences to the family please visit www.GotlobCampbell.com
